Planning a caravan trip always creates feelings of happiness.

What would a tour be without a breath of freedom and adventure? Hardly any other form of vacation promises so much spontaneity and independence as a long tour with the caravan.

You just have to have time. We often plan ahead when there are bridging days or public holidays. Annual leave is also planned very precisely.

Why We're Great >

Where do you want to travel?

When it comes to a short trip over the weekend ... we often look at the weather forecast. Are there cities or places we always wanted to go? We are often inspired by like-minded people when we have seen beautiful travel pictures or reports. Yes! We want to go there too !!!

Which goal should the trip have: cultural or do we want relaxation and recreation. Mostly it will always be a mix of the two.

The longer tours are planned depending on the season and temperature.

Planung
Karte.jpeg

We browse the maps for all possible campsites or overnight accommodations along the route. Read reviews from others and look at the pictures. The stages are planned realistically. Depending on the season, we reserve seats in advance.

How big is the parcel? Is the place in the sun or in the shade?

Is there a good connection to the city? What can we see, experience or explore by bike, are there beautiful bike paths?

If the route plan is in place, we will inform ourselves about the traffic rules abroad. Toll routes, tunnels or bridges that have to be paid for.

Kosten
Plan.jpg

For us, camping holidays in our own country prove to be a comparatively inexpensive pleasure because road charges (tolls) are a cost factor abroad, for example, Switzerland requires a vignette for train cars and caravans.

The gasoline prices are also always compared beforehand, as one tank of fuel can put very different loads on the travel budget.

Campsite prices: we attach great importance to cleanliness and style or that certain something. It should be nice. If it is a campsite for only one night, it can also be cheap.

Who pays what? We have set up a joint travel account, so all costs are paid before and during the trip.

Packen
Koffer

Who packs something, who takes care of what?

The roles / responsibilities are distributed.

The battery is charged and the water tanks are filled 1-2 days before the trip.

Gas bottle filling checked, or exchanged depending on the duration of the trip or destination.

We buy food and drinking reserves that have to last for the first 2-3 days. So we are always well catered for during spontaneous stops or overnight stays.

Over time we have created a checklist so as not to miss anything.

Our packing list.
